    The Sales Manager isresponsible for recruiting, training, and managing the market sales organization. This individual drives the achievement of stated business goals through motivating, coaching, and developing a high-performance sales team.

    Attain market sales and customer satisfaction goals. Monitor daily sales performances and make necessary adjustments to achieve sales budgets. Assist with developing, planning and preparation of training curriculum for sales meetings. Conduct sales and training meetings with (Assistant Sales Managers and) Sales Consultants. Facilitate vendor, product, and installation training as required. Assure accurate reporting and handling of Company leads through proper use of available intraday and daily reports.

    Review and analyze individual Sales Consultants' performance against metrics and stated goals, implement rewards and / or improvement plans as needed.

    Conduct monthly 1-on-1 coaching sessions with consultants. Directly supervise Assistant Sales Managers to ensure goal attainment is achieved. Monitor and ensure compliance to all company sales policies. Ensure Sales Consultants capacity is sufficient to achieve market demand. Conduct the onboarding and training of new Sales Consultants.

    Ensure Sales Consultants and Sales Management personnel have the requisite skills, abilities, and assets to support the Empire brand standards.

    Implement corporate sales initiatives to ensure achievement of stated corporate goals. Attend or participate in all corporate training sessions. Perform minimum of four ride-a-longs per week. Creates and exhibits a sense of ownership. Creates and supports a safe work environment. Other duties necessary or assigned.


    Qualifications:
    Associate degree required, bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook). Proven track record of success in Shop-At
    • Home or In-Home home improvement sales environment, preferably with Carpet/Flooring industry experience.
    Minimum of two years' sales experience and preferably 2years staff management - in a Shop-At
    • Home selling environment.
    Excellent staff recruiting, training, and motivation skills. Excellent planning, organizational, and leadership skills. Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, lead teams, and succeed in a fast-paced and changing environment. Ability to work in a team environment.

    This position spends a majority of time is spent working on a computer which requires the ability to use a keyboard to enter data (i.e., excel spreadsheets, creating presentations).

    This position spends a good portion of their time working in the field with consultants training and helping to generate sales.

    Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds (i.e., training materials, product samples, etc.). Ability to speak while conducting information sessions and/or training for Sales Consultants. The ability to perform the essential functions of the position physically and mentally, with or without reasonable accommodation. The ability to report to work on a regular basis. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license to support field activities. This position is located in an office setting and the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
