    The Bernstein Companies (TBC) is a dynamic Real Estate Investment, Development & Management firm with diversified platforms spanning Multi-Family, Hospitality, Commercial Office, Commercial Lending, and Development based in Georgetown.     We are currently seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join our team. This Hybrid role is a great opportunity for a talented Accountant with 2-3 years in corporate or public accounting to be involved in supporting a variety of business platforms with responsibilities including:

    • Perform detailed General Ledger (GL) analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data across various real estate platforms.
    • Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards for review by management.
    • Lead month-end closing processes with precision and efficiency.
    • Conduct thorough financial analysis to support decision-making processes and strategic initiatives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data integrity and alignment with operational objectives.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
    • Support audits and tax compliance activities as needed.
    • Stay informed of industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize financial performance.
    • Other projects as needed include work supporting Development Projects, Job Cost Budgets, etc.
    Requirements:

    Experience and requirements include:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with exposure to public accounting.
    • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
    • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and precision.
    • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
    • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
