    Description

    POSITION SUMMARY

    A growing, Orlando based company is looking for an Audit Team Manager to lead and oversee the internal audit activities within their organization. The responsibilities of the Audit Team Manager include overseeing the management of audit workflow processes and timelines, coaching, mentoring, and motivating a team of direct reports, and establishing and maintaining solid working relationships with internal and external customers. To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate excellent communication skills, solid knowledge of auditing disciplines, and strong analytical skills.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage operation of the premium audit team ensuring a high degree of accuracy and timely delivery of final audits.
    • Coach, mentor, and motivate the team by setting performance objectives and goals for employees.
    • Communicate with executive management regarding all pertinent operations to support effective leadership and direction for the department based on strategic objectives.
    • Coordinating, developing, and implementing internal auditing policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring compliance with company and statutory methodology requirements, and achieving audit objectives and goals.
    • Establish, implement, and monitor quality service standards for the premium audit team and external audit firms.
    • Analyze audit related data for trends to ensure adequate staffing and improve efficiencies and timelines.
    • Develop and implement training for staff of audit reviewers and processors.
    • Identify irregularities/errors for internal team and external audit firms and draft recommendations on corrective measures.
    • Attend quarterly meetings with external audit firms evaluating compliance with performance standards within the Client Book and providing feedback.
    • Prepare a quarterly Board presentation report and attend quarterly Board meetings, when requested.
    • Responsible for staying up to date on trends and developments within functional area of expertise as well as the insurance industry.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance, or equivalent industry experience.
    • Minimum of five years of related work experience in premium audit, preferably with Florida audits.
    • In-depth knowledge of Workers' Compensation Insurance.
    • Solid knowledge of audit regulations and guidelines.
    • A record of success in internal and external audit management.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize and effectively manage time.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to interpret abstract information.
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
    • Passionate in what you do, adaptable and flexible.
