    Job Overview - Counter Manager, Macy's Cosmetics Department:

    As a Counter Manager, you will oversee the operations of a cosmetics line, leading a team of Beauty Advisors. You'll engage with customers to understand their unique style and beauty preferences, showcasing your artistic talent through makeup application. By achieving personal and team sales targets, you'll experience the fulfillment that comes with merging your beauty passion with skill. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

    Macy's offers a flexible scheduling system that empowers associates to manage their work hours by setting availability and preferences. During peak seasons, extra shifts may be available using the self-scheduling tool. Detailed information on scheduling options is provided during the interview process.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Recruit, train, and mentor new associates on company policies and productivity goals
    • Analyze sales performance across different time frames
    • Oversee the execution of advertising events
    • Set and communicate credit goals
    • Supervise stock processing and organization
    • Implement business events to drive department goals
    • Ensure excellent product presentation and replenishment
    • Provide top-notch customer service to boost sales
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding stock needs and customer preferences
    • Adhere to hygiene standards and ensure store compliance
    • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • 1-2 years of relevant experience
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
    • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or in a team
    • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

    Physical Requirements:

    • Extended periods of standing/walking
    • Physical tasks such as reaching, kneeling, and lifting up to 25lbs
    • Frequent use of technology including computers and cash registers
    • Color vision for product displays
