Job Summary

An operations manager ensures that healthcare facilities run smoothly and offer high-quality healthcare to every patient.

Essential Job Functions

  • Administrative duties such as keeping inventory of medical equipment and supplies, setting staff schedules, updating, and maintaining patient records, managing the referral process and being an information resource for patients and clinic team.
  • Financial duties such as ordering medical supplies; managing the revenue cycle; and overseeing patient billing, claims, and reimbursement.
  • Manage the clinic's policies and procedures, ensure that best practices are followed, and resolve matters with Compliance when clinic needs to remain compliant with practices and resolve noncompliant matters.
  • Work with Human Resources to ensure communications about employee matters are communicated to clinic team.
  • Work with IT to ensure electronic health system updates and training are provided.
  • Find innovative ways to optimize the level of healthcare while also reducing the facility's costs.
  • Develop departmental goals and objectives for workers to improve the patient experience.
  • May work with the MSO team on project and initiatives.
  • Remain in continuous communication with the provider and clinic team.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications**- College degree in related field or may be substituted with years of experience.

  • Ability to work and lead a successful team in a remote working environment.
  • Referral management experience.
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • At least 12 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
  • EMR/EHR experience (Athena experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of Medical Insurance plans
  • Microsoft Office (365) Experience
  • Communication and empathy skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Adept to flexible work schedule.
  • Ability to adjust and adapt to fastpaced environment.
  • Patient care and service and empathy.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing.

Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving.

Occasionally requires exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.

Ability to discriminate shades of color when reading a dipstick.
