    Description

    A growing services company in New York City is currently seeking a new Junior Accountant for a growing opportunity with their team.

    Responsibilities:

    The Junior Accountant will:

    • Perform daily reconciliation of accounts receivable on the aging report to identify discrepancies and variances.
    • Investigate and analyze discrepancies found during reconciliation, determine root causes.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data by cross- referencing the payroll systems and the invoicing systems.
    • Prepare reports summarizing reconciliation findings variance analysis and corrective actions taken for review by management.
    • Collaborate with invoicing and payroll departments on what adjustments are needed on the accounts.
    • Work closely with the Controller on the reconciliation findings and completing JE's if necessary
    • Handle other duties, as needed
    Qualifications:
    • 1+ year of related Accounting experience
    • Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
    • Prior experience with Account Reconciliation or related field
    • Microsoft Excel proficient
    • Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
    • Great interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Highly organized
