Salary Compensation Range:
$50,000-55,000
MAJOR FUNCTION:
The
Junior Accountant assists the Finance team with monthly deposits, month-end closing, and other general accounting functions.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the monthend closing process by reconciling accounts, analyzing accounts, and posting journal entries.
- Prepare budget reports, as well as assist in creating spending projections based on historical data throughout the year.
- Prepare weekly cash balance reports for various bank accounts.
- Accurately post incoming funds from bank deposits and electronic transfers into the organization's accounting software.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Accounting/Finance Department, which may include participating in audits, conducting financial analysis, or contributing to special projects as required
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or in the process of pursuing for accounting degree.
- 12 years of accounting experience preferred, including accounting internships.
- Must have good communication skills and writing skills.
- Must be Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
