What You Need To Know

Overview

The IT Enterprise Architect explores new technologies and sets the technology direction while ensuring alignment with business strategies and drivers.

Establishes the approach for the integration of information applications and programs.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate IT Architecture PlansAssist in aligning business and enterprise initiatives with the Enterprise ArchitectureAudit compliance within the Enterprise Architecture standardsFacilitate strategic sessions up to an executive level and market/sell the results of architectural approaches through presentationsServe as an expert in applicant development, database design, and/or platform (operating system) efforts, helping project teams comply with enterprise and IT policies, industry regulations, and best practicesCoordinate all Enterprise Architecture and governance activitiesWork with Solution Architects and Solution Engineers to ensure solutions throughout all IT systems and platforms adhere to the enterprise architecture and to mitigate identified risks sufficiently, and to meet business objectives and regulatory requirementsModel and create graphical representations and abstractionsTranslate/map business strategy into information strategyStay up to date on best practices and new technologies and solutionsPerform other related duties as assignedAdditional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and education combination12+ years of work experience in ITBroad Technical knowledge across platforms (versus deep knowledge on specific platforms such as SAP, SalesForce, Microsoft)Proven ability building relationships and influencing ExecutivesProven ability translating business strategies into information strategiesAnalytical and strategic background that includes a broader background in different industry sectors including at least some experience in a SGWS associated industry such as retail, distribution, food and beverage, or others.

Excellent verbal/written communication skills including experience presenting and facilitating workshops and seminarsUnderstanding of technology products and vendor strategies, products, and customer preferencesExperience modeling, and representing the organizations business requirements in a human consumable manner, as it relates to strategyPhysical Demands

Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or mobile devicePhysical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stoopingMay require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
