Our client is a fast-growing general contractor headquartered in the North suburbs of Chicago. They are focused in healthcare, commercial, and light industrial construction projects.The Superintendent will be in charge of organizing, planning, and overseeing the execution of university healthcare ground-up and remodel projects.
Our client is one of Chicago's fastest growing General Contractors, seeking Superintendent with expertise in supervising healthcare construction projects, coordinating trades, supervising subcontractors, ordering building materials, participating in job-site coordination meetings with the architect and owner.
This is why they have robust project backlog and have high repeat client business. Negotiate all trade and vendor pricing per project to reach profitable agreements.Determine needed site resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to
Finish with attention to the project budget.
Plan all construction operations and schedule all work on-site to ensure deadlines will be met.
Assist in ordering materials and supplies.
Provide a daily client update including project progress report and photographs; keep a daily log of what took place on-site for each project.
Communicate with the client daily about the project and be prepared to answer their questions.Communicate quality and performance standards to all trade contractors and vendors.
5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a general contractor or developer.
~ Experience in healthcare or light industrial construction projects preferred.
~ Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field is plus but not required.
