    Come be a part of our dynamic support team in the Technical Audit and Outreach Group in the Bay Area Audit Office We have an opening for one (1) Program Technician (PT) II to provide vital support to our audit crews This is a fabulous opportunity to learn new skills while working with a great team.

    The position may be filled at the entry Program Technician level, or the promotional PT II level, for recruitment purposes

    Under the general direction of the Tax Administrator I, EDD, the PT II will be primarily responsible for responding to audit related inquiries and processing support work on moderately difficult, complex, or multifaceted issues in regard to employment taxes.

    Duties may consist of, information gathering, account analysis, and processing forms received to generate required account adjustments within the audit program using the Accounting and Compliance Enterprise System (ACES).

    These functions require interaction with employers regarding employment tax issues of average to moderate difficulty and providing sensitive and detailed program information and/or direction to the public or employees.

    Background Investigation Requirement

    The position(s) may require an applicant to pass a background investigation. However, applicants will not be asked to provide information about a conviction history unless they receive a conditional offer of employment.

    The department will make an individualized assessment of whether the conviction history has a direct or adverse relationship with the specific duties of the job and the work performed by the department.
