    Job Duties

    The Hotline and Condom Distribution Program Manager will manage the daily operations of two or more nationwide hotlines. The position prepares and/or reviews responses to public inquiries received on the Division of Disease Prevention (DDP) website.

    Supervises and trains staff; develops policies and procedures for hotline and condom distribution operations; collects and reports data; performs quality assurance (QA) reviews.

    Identifies and recruits new providers for the statewide HIV/STD resource and referral directory and maintains an updated directory on the website.

    The position oversees the condom distribution program and assists with order fulfillment for the HIV self-test kit program. Prepares and submits portions of grant applications and program reports.

    Provides health education training/information sessions for providers; develops, revises, tests, and markets educational materials; and oversees the Information and Design Review Panel (IDRP) process.

    The position maintains a hotline presence on social marketing websites and coordinates special projects for other DDP work units, including data entry, surveys and General Assembly bill tracking.

    This is a restricted position, which is solely funded by the CDC High-Impact HIV Prevention and Surveillance Programs for Health Departments cooperative agreement for a 5-year period ending _ (June 30, The availability of funding is scheduled for review "before the grant expiration date" and periodically thereafter. Continued employment is contingent on the continued availability of funds.

    Minimum Qualifications


    • Relevant experience in HIV/STD or viral hepatitis prevention
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Experience organizing a hotline or call center.
    • Experience reviewing and preparing reports.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including conflict-resolution skills
    • Organized and detail-oriented, able to effectively multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines

    Additional Considerations


    • Public Health, health education, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, and/or Mental Health or related field
    • Experience working with persons vulnerable to HIV, STI, or viral hepatitis.
    • Experience providing crisis intervention and emergency counseling for consumers.
    • Experience supervisor or serving in a team lead capacity for a customer service
    • Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish.
