    Position Summary:

    Interstate Rental is seeking an experienced Operations Manager who will oversee logistics and warehouse operations, and achieve established goals. This position will coordinate with office staff and warehouse team to ensure high quality efficient business operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage day-to-day operations ensuring on time and accurate fulfillment of all orders.
    • Plan and schedule day-to-day service deliveries and pickups.
    • Manage Warehouse Manager and oversee indirect reports upholding and supporting company policies.
    • Lead and motivate employees ensuring alignment with company culture and values.
    • Conduct daily huddles, and performance evaluations for all warehouse staff.
    • Fill in for other positions when necessary for smooth operation of the business.
    • Resolve problems and implement best practices and efficiency improvements.
    • Trouble shoot last minute and day of changes.
    • Oversee quality control processes within the warehouse and on outgoing and incoming vehicles.
    • Oversee and delegate warehouse organization and efficiency processes.
    • Participate in hiring, training, performance improvement, and terminations.
    • Institute and maintain all safety protocols.
    • Build and implement a structured on the job training program.
    • Engage with clients in problem resolution and scheduling (telephone, email, in person).
    • Schedule preventative fleet maintenance and repairs.
    • Assist with other duties, tasks, and projects to ensure growth and development for the organization.

    Skills & Requirements

    Experience:

    • 5+ years' experience within a warehouse/operational leadership role

    Qualifications:

    • Proven managerial skills and results
    • Ability to motivate and manage teams while simultaneously handling multiple projects
    • Professional experience with scheduling and logistics
    • Demonstrated ability to adhere to tight deadlines
    • Lots of enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment
    • Excellent customer service skills (telephone, email, in person)
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
    • Maintain calm demeanor in challenging situations
    • Proven ability to use inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
    • Spanish speaking skills are a plus
    • Able to work occasional nights and weekends
    • Available during regular business hours, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8-5, Wednesdays 8-3

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to drive a 26ft box truck in an urban environment
    • Must have adequate vision with or without corrective lenses along with adequate speech and hearing
    • DOT medical card
    • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position in a non-climate controlled environment.
    • Must have a full range of motion and dexterity, including but not limited to the ability to bend, squat, reach above head, walk straight, stand extended periods of time, and lift up to 70 pounds.
