    , for a Remote opportunity with client located in Bellevue, WA.

    Seeking a highly capable and motivated support specialist to help support our internally-developed/internally-used specialized business software. This software facilitates the design process and performs configuration for the plant configuration management for advanced nuclear reactors.

    This role will be the user-facing interface between the developer team and the users, triaging tickets, explaining solutions, and working with the developers to resolve complex issues.

    As an IT Support Specialist you will:

    Become an expert power user of our internal nuclear configuration management softwareTriage new and backlogged user support ticketsHelp users solve their problems by training them, working with them (e.g. via screenshare), and/or building Software Change Requests to send to the developer teamRegularly inform users about the status of support requests they\'ve sent inProvide feedback to the developer team about common issues users have, and what updates to the software might help reduceUpdate documentation and training material based on common user needs/questionsParticipate in testing new features during regular new releases of the software

    This is a full-time role


    Ideal candidate will have:
    At least 2 years helping people answer user support questions about complex software, ideally developed in-houseDemonstrated ability to debug user problems in browsers, including using the in-browser dev console to understand network calls and error messagesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to learn and understand how to use complex custom software in nuclear reactor design spaceAbility to work professionally with users through complex and often frustrating issuesAbility to teach users how to use software effectivelyAbility and willingness to understand enough depth about how the system works to know when developer changes are neededInterest in learning more about Python/Django/Javascript/Vue software development desiredStrong communication skills desiredThe successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and a desire to foster teamwork


    Pay Rate:
    \$45-\$65/per hour

    *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate\'s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
