- Work closely with the coordinator to ensure Program operations are consistent with approved Leading Practices
which includes legal obligations, licensing requirements, child abuse prevention, marketing strategies, and Y policies and procedures. - Assist in Supervising Child Development staff, including hiring, onboarding, role-modeling, coaching, scheduling, and on-going development.
- Fulfill all job requirements from the Child Development School Age or Early Childhood Teacher job description when assigned.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate degree is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year working with children is required.
- Minimum 6 months of management experience is preferred.

Description
At the Y, we believe every child is of promise and deserves the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. The Treasure Valley Family YMCA's Child Development programs support children in their ongoing growth to ensure that they are ready for the next educational milestone, whether that be preschool, kindergarten, middle school, or high school.
The Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the coordinator, creating a friendly, helpful, positive atmosphere for everyone who enters the Y program through providing leadership and implementing program, safety and engagement activities.
Responsibilities:
This is a full-time position, year-round, averaging 40 hours weekly. The schedule falls between 7:00am-6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
