    Position Summary

    The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing relationships, generating revenue, coordinating, and leading performance review meetings, and seeking out business opportunities for specified key account(s) assigned by the Director of SMBD.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Must be proficient with the computer and be able to work with excel style spreadsheet's.
    • Must work well both individually and in a team to complete projects.
    • Junior Laboratory Chemist: Requires a B.S./B.A. (preferable Science Degree) or a minimum of two years in the petroleum industry.
    • Laboratory Chemist: Requires a B.S./B.A. (preferable Science Degree) and a minimum of
    • five years in the petroleum industry or a minimum of 10 years as a Junior Chemist.
    • Senior Laboratory Chemist: Requires a B.S./B.A. (preferable Science Degree) and a minimum of five years as a Laboratory Chemist or an advanced science degree and a minimum of two years as a Laboratory Chemist.

    Responsibilities

    • Will be the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for assigned key account(s).
    • Leads organization in growing business within an assigned key account(s).
    • Director of SMBD will assign specific revenue and budget targets on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis. Meet or exceed defined revenue targets while maintaining spend budget.
    • Coordinate and where applicable lead, any customer facing performance review meetings required for key account(s.)
    • Responsible for overall growth of their assigned key account(s) and works in coordination with Director of SMBD, RM's and BM's to go after business as recognized.
    • Responsible for clear communication and coordination on resolution of any service delivery concerns among branches and regions for specifically assigned account(s).
    • Support local Camin Cargo offices globally in their relationship with the client.
    • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel.
    • Identify and develop existing and new business opportunities with the client.
    • Ensure organizational alignment in the design and execution of initiative efforts for the client.
    • Loss Control Experience Preferred.
    • Spanish Speaking Preferred.

    Stakeholder Relations

    • Routine communication to key stakeholders – Sales leadership, Regional Operations Leadership and local operations including identified opportunities, threats as well as routine customer activity reporting.

    Customer Marketing Event Management

    • Lead coordinator with Director of SMBD on all customer events including lunches, entertainment, and training for key account(s). Meet or exceed defined activity targets monthly while maintaining spend budget.

    Reports

    • Event Notes – documented notes following customer facing events.
      • Updating CRM or reporting directly to Director of SMBD
    • Monthly business context as it relates to Key Account(s)
      • Revenue story
      • Key Organizational changes
      • Wins / Opportunities
      • New Business

    Fitness for Duty – Physical Demands

    Workday may consist of 8-12 hours however this can vary day to day and shift to shift. Some of the retain work is performed outdoors, wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and could include possible exposure to high and low temperatures for a prolonged duration of time. Laboratory work is normally performed indoors under climate-controlled conditions.
