    • Federal Security Services (FSS)/Government Services Division (GVS) POWER Engineers, Inc.
    is seeking a senior level assistant project engineer to provide technical support and management for our engineering projects within our Government Services FSS Department. The position requires candidates to be US Citizens and may require them to possess a TS/SCI clearance.

    Candidates not in possession of a TS/SCI security clearance may still be considered for hire but would need to agree to undergoing the security clearance process with the appropriate U.S.

    Government Agency. If approved would be subject to a polygraph test as part of the clearance process.

    This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to provide technical project support and design for engineering design projects in the Federal market involving electrical engineering, emergency and back up power, UPS and RUPS, critical HVAC and MEP design, transmission and distribution, power production, system studies, renewable energy, and other mission critical infrastructure related projects.


    Job Summary and Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities include overarching management of the project and engineering coordination across all POWER Divisions, providing technical guidance oversight on the project to ensure compliance with the project requirements documents.

    The assistant project engineer position would also support, foster and manage client relationships and market POWER's cleared engineering capabilities to existing and new clients.

    The successful candidate must have a proven track record of successful management of technical engineering services or related projects with demonstrated skills related to electrical and consulting engineering including:
    + Assist in the project planning process including initiation, project setup documents including CAD, Drawing files, and standards, and throughout the design, engineering, commissioning, and close out phases + Work with the Project Manager on project implementation and status updates on both an engineering discipline level and project level including project schedule, project budget, risk management and the project resources including external vendors + Assist in metrics tracking such as earned value, associated reporting to stakeholders, and compliance with regulatory, corporate and department procedures during all the phases of the project + Lead the effort for projects in areas including project forecasting, cost monitoring, feedback & reporting and project strategy optimization. + Technical support for design engineering project teams + Technical design problem solving + Proposal writing and proposal presentations + Understanding of the Federal Client and the Intelligence Community + Understanding of Federal Contracting, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation + Understanding of CPM scheduling + Candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills, be willing to travel occasionally both nationally and internationally, and work successfully in a high paced, customer-focused, project-oriented environment.


    Required Education/Experience:
    + Minimum of 15 years' experience in technical engineering design support and development of construction documents + Five (5) or more years' experience managing engineering projects + US Citizen with no felony convictions + Experience with using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation + Experience with project management tools including but not limited, MS Project, Excel, Word, Power-Point and CPM software Desired Education/Experience: + Experience providing project engineering support on federal projects + TS/SCI Clearance + PMP certification from PMI + Construction Management or work in construction trade profession + Field experience working on a construction site or site related engineering O&M role + Experience with mission critical infrastructure projects + Experience with marketing, technical writing and business planning At POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level
