    Description

    The position of Assistant Director has the primary responsibility for the development, implementation, and assessment of student leadership and engagement initiatives within the residence life program.

    The Assistant Director will be responsible for providing leadership and promoting student leadership and engagement that will enhance the mission of the institution.


    The position includes:

    • Oversee the administrative and programming responsibilities for student staff training and development, student staff selection, and evening and weekend programming.
    • Lead the Residence Life professional staff hiring and onboarding processes.
    • Oversee the advisement of the Residence Hall Association.
    • Supervise the Residence Director overseeing departmental projects, and the Graduate On-Call Student role(s)
    • Foster healthy environments for learning and social interaction that promote and model teamwork and establishment of inclusive, supportive, collaborative, service-oriented, multicultural environments.
    • Participate in the leadership of the department including program and protocol development, professional staff training and evaluation, budget responsibilities and programmatic assessment.
    The Assistant Director is a member of the Residence Life Leadership Team.
