    Partner Development Lead - New York, United States - Smartly Job Board

    Smartly's Global Partnerships Team is responsible for growing our strategic partnerships with platforms and integrated partners. As a part of Smartly's journey becoming a multi-platform player, we need to nurture and improve our relationship with platform partners like Meta, Snap, Pinterest, X, Google & TikTok in order to drive new business, retain & grow existing customers, improve our product-market fit and deliver cross-functional solutions.

    As a Partner Development Lead you will work closely with the regional GTM teams, product management teams, marketing teams, and multiple other functions across the company to strengthen Smartly's position globally. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with creativity to execute on high-impact programs. You will play a key role in developing growth strategies and executing strategic projects with Platform Partners. You'll be at the forefront of the fast-paced digital marketing industry, allowing you to continue to learn & develop at speed whilst also growing and nurturing your own annual target, managing exec-level relationships and scaling the operations of an ambitious growth company.

    Day-to-day responsibilities include being the strategic lead on all Platforms initiatives, working cross functionally with marketing and product teams internally, executing partner joint business plans, and pitching and growing Smartly's footprint across the respective product, marketing, and sales teams at the Platforms.

    • Define and execute a business development strategy that leverages Smartly's core ads products to deliver value to the respective partners ecosystem
    • Work with product and tech teams to prioritize platform-specific feature roll-outs, creating the business case and working with partners to maximize impact
    • Build data-driven, scenario-based models to evaluate business impact of strategic and business development initiatives (e.g., platform expansions, co-marketing, etc.)
    • Manage and grow credible senior relationships at and across Platforms to scale new business initiatives that drive future growth, expansion, and profitability
    • Develop product integration strategies, lead cross-functional programs, and be responsible for wide-scale adoption of Smartly across Platforms
    • Play a key role in moving the company strategy forward with our Platforms via an fluent understanding of other Smartly teams' connected strategies and goals
    • Pursue new and creative ways to expand Smartly market share, identify new partnership opportunities, and capitalize on emerging trends across the Platforms
    • Be relied on for independent strategic decisions and input
    • Create and develop collateral materials including slides, one-pagers, and internal documents to support business initiatives and communication
    Be comfortable pitching in sales meetings and creating your own narrative to effectively convey the value proposition of Smartly's products and services
    We are looking for you if you have...
    • 7+ years of experience working in partnerships and/or business development efforts
    • Previous experience of working with or at one of the social platforms
    • Demonstrated success negotiating enterprise-level business terms with partners
    • A strong sense of urgency around delivering on team and individual projects
    • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills with the ability to build materials and present findings effectively at the executive management level
    • Successful track record in identifying, engaging and executing innovative integrations
    • A demonstrated ability to evangelize and influence across all levels of an organization
    • Owned outright or significantly contributed to a large P&L in a growth business
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, MBA preferred

    The base pay range for this position is as mentioned below per year, plus annual bonus. We take into consideration an individual's background, expertise, and experience in determining final salary. In addition to annual salary, Smartly's total rewards provide employees with stock options, medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement savings benefits, parental leave, 5 weeks vacation, unlimited sick days, life insurance and disability benefits.
