    Description

    Top systematic hedge fund headquartered in New York is looking to hire a distinguished Senior/Lead Java Developer to lead a high profile mandate of re-innovating upon and building out new pricing libraries and associated components, with the view of this being utilized firmwide over time.

    This is a role that would be embedded within the data technology team, and involve working closely with senior leadership and investment teams. The successful candidate will need to understand required technology interfaces, and develop extensible pricing/valuation frameworks.

    What we're looking for:

    • A bachelor or masters degree in computer science or similar
    • 10 + years in core/modern java, databases (JDBC and ORMs), caches (Hazelcast or equivalent), distributed systems, Pub-sum/MOM
    • Experience with Kotlin or Scala a plus
    • Expertise in core Java (including multi-threading, performance optimization, serialization etc)
    • Experience with databases (including SQL, data and relational modelling, DB optimization and normalization)
    • CI/CD experience (including ability automate deployments and support related tasks)
    • Experience with containerization/scalability/Docker, etc.
    • Must have Finance experience, gained either on the buy-side or sell-side.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills to optimally interact with a good breadth of stakeholders.

    This is a full-time, hybrid position, based in New York.

    Compensation is highly competitive and contingent on experience.
