- Research potential vendors
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Review quality of purchased products (Quality Control)
- Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into Sage Pro database
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices internally
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses (COG's)
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
- Utilize ERP and Component Status Report (CSR)
- Monitor inventory on a weekly basis to expedite or defer shipment.
- Work closely with vendor(s) in Asia.
- Enter quantities and landed cost into Sage Pro
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage & delivery time
- Create and close out work orders
- Create and maintain Bill of Materials
- Update and maintain SOP
- Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends
- Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or similar role
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
- Hands-on experience with software (e.g. Sage Pro)
- Understanding of supply chain process and procedure
- Exceptional communication skills with multiple departments (cross- functional)
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
- Negotiation skills
- Tracking BOM Expenses
- Very detailed and highly Organized
- Exceptional with Microsoft Office (Excel, word, etc.)
