Description
As our Planner, you will be in charge of ensuring that all materials and goods required for production go into the right place exactly when they should.
Associates Degree in a manufacturing or engineering-related field5+ years of scheduling, planning, and/or inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment involving machining or similar processes
Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Previous Sales-Inventory-Operations-Planning SIOP (S&OP) methodology knowledge a plus
Operations highly desirable
Analyzes, measures, and develops processes to improve quality, service, and productivity outputs to meet value-added goals and key, and success factors
Reviews sales forecasts and demands for finished or intermediary goods and develops production schedules, considering inventory, labor availability, and production lead times.
Adjusts production schedules as needed and in response to changes in demand, materials, or other resources.Coordinates with the purchasing function to ensure availability of raw materials
Monitors materials and backlog between work centers; coordinates with project coordinators and materials personnel to ensure progress against production plans
Provides engineering drawing assistance to help maintain current production drawings when applicable
Communicate with your team at a cadence that makes expectations and performance clear
Define, select, and allocate resources (people, materials and machinery) to meet objectives
Identify knowledge gaps and provide/propose required training to improve performance
Focuses on driving Safety, quality, and productivity
