    Senior Software Quality Engineer at Pearson in Boise, Idaho,

    United States Job Description Summary:

    The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Pearson/MZD platforms through strong automation implemented solutions and manual testing efforts as well as tracking the status of issues reported on Pearson/MZD products.

    This requisition is part of the Pearson/MZD team, which develops innovative assessment technology platforms.

    One of the team's primary responsibilities is supporting multiple technology platforms that deliver exams to test takers, score and report results.

    We are currently engaged in building our next generation assessment platform, which is a multi-year project with enormous strategic value, leveraging state of the art technologies and processes.

    We are looking for outstanding candidates to bolster the staff of this critical project by joining the online scoring and reporting platform team.

    Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
    + Participates in requirements, architecture, and design review meetings + Effectively functions and communicates within a software development team consisting of developers, quality assurance and product management members + Performs all development, testing tasks with a high level of quality + Prepares, reviews, and maintains effective procedures and documentation + Applies Agile practices for successful, sustainable delivery of software solutions + Maintaining active communication with business users and key stakeholders to manage expectations regarding changes to systems and/or business requests + Implementing and maintaining automation workflows via tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, etc. + Write test plans to ensure all levels of quality and reduce project costs.


    Education and experience:
    + Bachelor's Degree or related technical certification or a minimum of one to three years of experience with quality assurance testing websites or software applications. + Analytical and problem-solving skills + Desire to constantly learn new things and improve skills + Understanding of business requirements + Effective verbal and written communication skills + Experience with Agile Software Development a plus + Experience with Jenkins build systems a plus + Experience working with distributed teams + Experience with the Selenium framework or similar tools for automation testing. + Experience with systems like Cucumber Testing and similar Collaboration tools. + Experience with API testing including RESTful W To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
