    Territory Sales Manager

You will be working remotely out of your home office and will be responsible for selling Gates products throughout Louisiana. You will be responsible for selling automotive and heavy industrial products including hydraulics, belts, hoses, timing belts, and water pumps, to name just a few.

    You'll research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner to determine market strategies and goals for each product and service.

    This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will be maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments and that effect target markets.

    You'll be maintaining an effective communication path with the customer to ensure sales opportunities for products.

    **Key responsibilities (to name a few):**

    Responsible for sales ranging from $4.5 million to $5 million annually

    + 70% managing existing clients 30% new business

    Research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner to determine market strategies and goals for each product and service.

    Research and develop lists of potential customers.

    Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments and that effect target markets.

    Maintain an effective communication path with the customer to ensure sales opportunities for products.

    Take responsibility for and making every effort to resolve communication, trust and respect concerns and problems.

    Implement distribution strategies to accelerate growth of new and additional products and/or new markets.

    Monitor competitive environment to identify opportunities and countermeasures to address competition.

    **ABOUT YOU** **Required:**

    2+ years of progressive sales experience

    High school diploma

    Must be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    Relocation is not provided

    **Travel required daily within the given territory for this position is 50% - 70%. Most nights are at home, however on an annual basis, 20-25% of your traveling will be spent overnight.**

    Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

    **Preferred:**

    Associates or Bachelor's Degree

    SalesForce or similar CRM Experience

    Equivalent industry experience with strong mechanical aptitude.

    Passion for the heavy equipment and automotive replacement industries
