Corporate Partnership Specialist - Houston, United States - Genesys Works
Description
Job Description
Job DescriptionPosition: Corporate Partnership Specialist
Locations: Houston
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Snr. Manager of Corporate Partnerships
Mission
Genesys Works is a nonprofit organization that provides pathways to career success for high school students in historically under resourced communities through skills training, meaningful work experiences, and impactful relationships. We do this through a unique combination of intense summer training and a meaningful paid internship at leading corporations during senior year of high school. While the core of the Genesys Works program is the internship, we realize this is only the start of a young person's professional and academic career.
Purpose of Position
Genesys Works seeks a Corporate Partner Specialist to support in the administrative, operational, and growth efforts to meet annual internship goals. This role will report to the Corporate Partnerships team, responsible for the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of our corporate partners. A CP specialist will work in a highly collaborative and cross-functional team environment across the organization while gaining exposure to the GW consultative approach to sales in the social impact sector.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications
We seek candidates who believe deeply in our organization's mission, who thrive in a dynamic high-impact environment, and who demonstrate a previous record of achievement. Ideal candidates will possess:
Physical Requirements
Including, but not limited to standing and sitting for long periods of time; speaking loudly and clearly; reaching, stooping, and kneeling; and fine-finger and hand manipulation in the use of a computer, dry-erase board, or projector. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading. Most work environments are climate-controlled, open space floor plans.
Commitment to Diversity
Genesys Works is an equal opportunity employer that celebrates diversity and is committed to creating an equitable and inclusive environment for all employees. Genesys Works will not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind. We believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion among our staff and corporate partners are essential to successfully executing our organizational mission. As such, we seek to recruit, support, develop, and retain high caliber talent from a diverse candidate pool that both complements and reflects the students we proudly serve.
Commitment to Inclusivity
Genesys Works remains committed to fostering a more equitable, inclusive and united society. We stand in solidarity with members of the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities and seek partnerships that help dismantle the systems that lead to inequity in pursuit of a more just community.
The fabric of our country is made up of its people. The rich diversity of ideas, cultures and norms are what make this country unique, and it is what makes it resilient. For these reasons, there is no other country in the world that ensures the wide range of opportunities and freedoms for its citizens. It is the place people dare to make the impossible, possible in hope for a better future, not only for themselves, but for the generations.
