Revenue Cycle Specialist - RCM Patient Services
Provider's Choice Laboratory is a new generation of laboratory testing and patient care. We provide PCR diagnostic laboratory testing and service providers across the entire state of Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.

The job position of Revenue Cycle Specialist - Patient Services is an integral part of PGL's mission of revolutionizing laboratory testing and provider partnerships that ensure all patients receive the timely care they deserve.


Providers' Choice Laboratory, you will be working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment where you will be relied on for your expertise, professionalism and collaboration.

Responsibilities


As a Patient Services Specialist, you will play a vital role on RCM team by being the point of contact for all patients who have billing questions and/or submitting payment.

The Patient Services Specialist is the face (and voice) of PCL and maintains a customer focused approach in all external and interal interactions.

You will help us provide the best in class service to our clients and their patients by addressing any billing concerns and collecting payment so that patients can focus on healing and recovering

  • Receive and process patient health information requests per Company and policies and procedures.
  • Creates digital images of paperwork to be stored in the electronic medical record
  • Point of contact for patient questions about EOB and bills recieved.
  • Take patient payments via telephone and assist with any and all patient questions/concerns.
  • Responsible for managing patient health records and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of billing and LIS software.
  • May assist with administrative duties such as handling faxes. opening mail, and data entry.
  • Assist with AR projects as needed
  • Collaborates with supervisor and other RCM staff to meet individual and group weekly productivity goals.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security with all privileged information.

Qualifications and Requirements- High School Diploma/GED- An associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred- Completion of Medical Billing and Coding program (preferred but not required- Minimum 2 years of related medical billing, or payment posting experience

  • Understands how to read EOBs and remittance advice

Skills and Competencies

  • Detail-Oriented, with excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and follow up for completion.
  • Strong math skills or accounting background
  • Strong problemsolving skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
