- Own and drive forward API strategy, roadmap and development on project team
- Lead the technical planning & requirements gathering phases including estimate, develop, test, manage projects, architect and delivery
- Understand the unique business and technical requirements of the project and facilitate communications on the most appropriate solution design
- Be a hands-on contributor to the resolution of all requirements/feedback/scoping/design issues
- Engage in the process of developing technical documentation efforts and creation of user stories
- Developing and unit testing of code components per the user story
- Lead a small globally distributed team of developers and QA engineers
- Liaise with offshore team, 3rd party vendors and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks
- Conduct code audits and reviews
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand required capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions
- Ensure implementation, deployment, and backup is done following best practices and client standards
- Serve as a technical lead and mentor. Provide technical support or leadership in the development and continual improvement of service.
- Attend sprint planning, retrospective meetings, daily stand-ups and report technical blockers to the team
- Independently manage assigned tasks
- Passionate coders with 8+ years of application development experience
- Minimum 5 years of programming experience with Java
- Minimum 5 years of experience Spring Boot frameworks
- Minimum 3 years of experience with front-end modern UI frameworks
- Experience working with cloud technology platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or GCP
- Experience in Microservice design for complex systems with strong knowledge of Micro service patterns
- Experience and expertise in design and implementation of event driven architecture (EDA) in conjunction with Micro-services
- Experience in API life cycle management
- Experience in API Management tools
- Experience in API deployment strategies for global scalability
- Experience in performance management/improvement strategies for API
- Experience in database CI/CD Frameworks specifically for API build and deployment
- Experience leading, managing, and mentoring development teams
- Full life-cycle development experience - with Agile/Scrum project approach
- Client facing and/or consulting experience is a must
- Phenomenal communicators who can explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike, including high level decision makers.
- Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight
- Solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design.
- Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural standpoint.
