The HVP Production Team Lead will direct all activities and job assignments for the HVP shift as well as fill in and/or assist operators with daily production tasks associated with the HVP packaging, spray drying, and liquid manufacturing, including operating, monitoring and performing quality checks in all stages of the process


Responsibilities:


  • Leads the shift by communicating to Operators the daily goals and objectives and provides instructions to the Operators on order of importance with regard to their daily tasks and assignments
  • Learn all HVP roles to have a general working knowledge of all HVP Operator jobs and guide in troubleshooting process
  • Acting HVP Operator on one of the 4 positions (i.e. runs the Dryer/Liquid or Utility Position throughout the shift) as needed
  • Monitors employee Labor schedules and holds overtime as needed to cover open shifts
  • Rearranges labor on the shift as needed to meet the business goals
  • Communicates to Management any Employee issues and makes recommendations as to Coaching/Counseling and or Progressive Discipline
  • Communicates via Daily Shift Report, to management, the results of the shift and status of the production process and any outstanding issues
  • Communicates to Maintenance any production issues and complete work orders using online tool as necessary
  • Communicates to Management any outstanding concerns (unannounced visitors, building issues, disasters, etc)
  • Will serve as Leader of the shift for all HVP operators

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent (GED) and/or 35 years of Plant/Operations/HVP experience
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Ability to read and follow instructions; multitask in a safe manner; troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Knowledge of safe chemical operation and handling.
  • Ability to understand and operate equipment under pressure.
  • Understanding and knowledge of flow measuring units.
  • Work and lead a team strong collaberations skills required accross all shifts
  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.
