    Description

    Job Title: IT Support Specialist

    Welcome to our team! We are currently looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our agency in various locations including Washington, DC, Gatlinburg, TN, Barstow, CA, and Stafford, VA. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a key role in diagnosing and resolving customer reported incidents, providing training and assistance to customers, configuring software and hardware, participating in the planning of customer support services, and ensuring information security practices are applied.

    Duties include but not limited to:

    • Diagnoses and resolves customer reported incidents
    • Provides training, guidance, and assistance to customers
    • Installs, configures, and tests software and hardware
    • Participates in planning and delivering customer support services
    • Ensures information security practices are followed

    Requirements

    Conditions of Employment

    • U.S. Citizenship required
    • Background investigation and favorable adjudication
    • Valid driver's license may be required
    • Willingness to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and shift work
    • Completion of probationary and trial periods
    • Travel and government charge card requirements may apply
    • Training and maintenance of a government charge card

    Qualifications

    All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position, you must have specialized experience in IT service desk activities, customer service, hardware/software troubleshooting, and information security. Additionally, you must possess IT-related experience demonstrating attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem-solving skills. Education requirements include a Master's degree or equivalent graduate education in related fields.
