    Job Title: Clean Energy Senior Financial Analyst
    Employment Type: Contract
    Work Hours: 40+hrs./week
    Work site: Hybrid
    Location: 4 Irving Place, New York, NY
    Salary: $48/hr

    Job Description:
    The Clean Energy Senior Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting energy efficiency programs by providing financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. This position will be instrumental in facilitating key decision-making processes within the energy efficiency and demand management programs, ensuring financial integrity, and driving results-oriented program goals. The successful candidate must possess the required educational background and relevant work experience to thrive in a dynamic environment.

    Schedule: Hybrid: 2 days a week and on Wed every other week (3 days).

    Responsibilities:
    • Develop annual budgets and review monthly forecasts for energy efficiency programs.
    • Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
    • Ensure accurate and complete allocation of invoice payments.
    • Create financial reporting metrics and develop a financial dashboard to track program progress.
    • Collaborate with Corporate Accounting to verify program balances during month-end closing.
    • Monitor and track the progress and financial performance of energy efficiency programs.
    • Communicate results to all levels of management and propose improvement suggestions.
    • Assist in planning departmental budgets, capital budgets, and hiring plans.
    • Develop annual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress.
    • Support the rate case process by analyzing funding requests and preparing necessary documentation.
    • Establish internal control procedures and conduct compliance reviews.
    • Manage projects to enhance financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes.
    • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
    Required Work Experience:
    • Experience in internal controls, month-end close, financial analysis, and forecasting in the accounting/finance function.
    • Successful track record of analyzing and visualizing data for reporting purposes.
    • Proven analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to execute strategic plans.
    • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize work effectively and be accountable.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills (pivots, v-lookups).
    • Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills preferred.
