Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Financial Analyst -
Obs/Gyn.


Responsibilities:


  • Compiles and analyzes financial information for all the components for the department
  • Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.
  • Participate in monthly billing meetings to identify opportunities for improvement and conducts routine meetings with the staff to discuss the results of benchmarks and redirect staff efforts as needed.
  • Compile and review analyses, reporting, key performance indicators, claim denials and operational metrics. Participate in corrective actions in response to variances and trends
  • Review and analyze P&Ls in collaboration with the management team. Identify changes in charges, revenues and costs.
  • Provides support and coordination for project activities to management team.
  • Gathers and collects data from different parties and presents findings as applicable
  • Independently prepares and review documents, and generates status/progress reports for ongoing and pending projects which may include moderate analysis of findings. Prepares presentation materials for financial and operational meetings.
  • Help design and develop standard and ad hoc department reports (i.e. Anticipate number of deliveries in a given month or period)
  • Maintains department data crosswalks
  • Complies and analyzes clinical operating forecasting models
  • Collaborates with management and coordinates reporting of the organization to ensure conformity with fiscal policy & procedures.
  • Maintains detailed analysis and reports to management regarding all initiatives.
  • Reviews and ensures purchase requisitions are properly submitted and accounted for within the approved budget.
  • Interface with the budget departments regarding SOM questions/issues.
  • Perform ongoing reporting and analytical projects on an adhoc basis as requested by senior management.
  • Ensures accuracy of general ledger, financial statements and ancillary reports.
  • Investigate financial and operational issues and potential impacts that arise
  • Assist the manager with the preparation and review of monthly and yearend financial statements

Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:

Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with advanced proficiency in Excel. Must be able to create and maintain databases. Ability to learn new financial software. EPIC and EPSI experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and minimum 3 years relevant work experience or an equivalent combination.
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal. Possess strong customer service and problem solving skill sets. Knowledgeable of accrual basis of accounting.


Preferred Qualifications:

EPIC and EPSI experience preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.

The salary range for the role is $62, $86,320.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.

The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
