    Job DescriptionHow will you make an impact?Thermo Fisher Scientifics Transplant Diagnostics Division (TDX) develops and distributes several lines of In-Vitro diagnostics (IVD) histocompatibility (HLA) tests.

    This role will market our tests and services to enable our clients to identify patient populations that may benefit from a life-saving therapyWhat will you do?The Business Development Manager, Biopharma builds strong long-term relationships with BioPharma customers that are developing novel immunotherapies for a variety of indications.

    They will uncover growth opportunities with biotechnology and biopharmaceutical clients, particularly in cell therapy and immuno-oncology applications by marketing our portfolio of products and services.


    Key activities:


    Drive the business development funnel and generate revenue in the area of BioPharma market, representing products, testing services, and companion diagnostic (CDx) co-development services.

    The role will include evaluation of business opportunities and execution of long-term customer agreements.

    Understand the clinical strategies for prospective clients and provide regulatory-compliant solutions to include CDx co-development and/or testing services to support clinical trial progression.

    Build partnerships with our clinically focused businesses and sales organizations across the company to identify prospective partners across the globe and develop strategies for revenue growth.

    Collaborate with Alliance Management and Project Management teams to structure deals that are mutually beneficial to clients and the business.

    Analyze industry dynamics and competitive landscape to seek opportunities for expansion in novel growth markets and regions.

    Meet annual revenue/booking targets and record opportunities and sales activities in salesforce.comKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesBachelors degree required preferably in business, life sciences, economics or other related field.

    Graduate level degree such as a post-doctoral (Ph.

    D) in life sciences or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) is strongly preferred5+ years of in-depth commercial, product management, business development and/or marketing in a related industryStrong intuition for business and a consistent track record to develop and maintain professional and personal relationships with key business partners and customers positively impacting business growthKnowledgable of clinical trial and regulatory pathways for IVD and/or therapeuticsExcellent communication, team-building, and leadership skillsExcellent presentation and analytical skillsDemonstrated success working in a global, matrixed-environment with ability to influence without direct authorityConsistent track record of effectively driving large scale initiatives from a business and cultural standpointAbility to understand, analyze and assimilate sophisticated issues, draw correct conclusions and formulate clear strategy and policiesWillingness to travel up to 50%, both domestic and internationallyAt Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 100,000 outstanding minds has a unique story to tell.

    Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $140,000.00$190,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
