    Position Summary:


    The digital content specialist is responsible for capturing and creatingcompelling and relevant content for the district's digital platforms that informs, engages, andinspires team members, students, families, and community members.

    This position is theprimary videographer on the Communications team to provide content for district initiativesand campaigns.

    The digital content specialist will write, shoot, and edit video content that meets the needs of the diverse constituencies we serve.

    This role will also be responsible for photography at schools and at district events and for managing the district's photo archives to improve accessibility and increase use of photos in school and district materials.

    As a member of the web team, the digital content specialist will work with the website manager and design strategist to create and edit written content for web pages, to research and write website news stories, and provide support as needed with building and managing web pages.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, orrelated field

    Experience:

    • Three (3) years of working on teams and/or projects or initiatives involving a variety ofstakeholders, preferably in a fast-paced environment; experience with creating contentfor digital platforms include photo, video, and written content
    • Familiarity with web content management systems, social media, and digital media

    Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc:

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
    • Proficient in Spanish is a plus
