    The Director, Federal Affairs, will advocate T-Mobile's Federal public policy initiatives before the US Congress and will report to the Sr. Director, Federal Legislative Affairs. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the dynamic Federal Legislative Affairs team, as well as regulatory and business teams, to develop policy positions, formulate lobbying strategies, and coordinate Hill outreach to drive desired outcomes on critical issues.

    Un-carrier Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain key relationships with Members of Congress and staff to continuously grow the company's outreach to key constituencies and create new interest from other Members.
  • Drive strategy on critical issues and proactively identify opportunities and challenges for the company.
  • Possess solid understanding of Congressional procedures and strong relationships with key committee members.
  • Cross-functionally collaborate with internal and external partners to coordinate and leverage the expertise of colleagues on key issues.
  • Strategically allocate T-PAC funds to build relationships with key members annually, attend political events and travel less than 20 percent of the time.
  • Operate as a team player who works well internally not only with peers and government affairs colleagues, but also with senior executives.The Experience You'll Bring
  • Background/expertise in technology/telecommunications, appropriations, tax and judiciary a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in public policy, communications or business, or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of Government Relations/Capitol Hill/Public Policy/Lobbying/Corp experience
  • Engagement/relationships with CHC and CBC a plus
  • Accomplished communicator, including written communications, with solid interpersonal skills
  • Ability to initiate and proactively identify opportunities and drive strategy with critical internal and external constituencies and excel in a fast-paced environment
    • At least 18 years of age

    • Legally authorized to work in the United StatesT-Mobile requires U.S. citizenship for certain roles within the organization. This role requires U.S. citizenship. Individuals hired into this role will be required to submit documentation proving U.S. citizenship within the first 7 days of hire - failure to do so will result in termination.
