Legislative Liaison, National Fraternal Order of Police June 2021 - Present 

• Tracked, researched, advised, handled draft language, and corresponded on policy issues pertaining to crime and law enforcement; firearms; grant programs; labor and pensions; emergency management; cybersecurity. 

• Drafted numerous cosponsor and letters of support for relevant legislation to congressional offices (approximately 40 grouped / 400 individual letters)

 • Coordinated with congressional offices, outside organizations, and stakeholders to leverage support for our legislative priorities. 

• Represented and advocated the legislative priorities on behalf of 364,000 members of the FOP across the country. 

• Accomplishments include the signing of S. 921, the “Jaime Zapata and Victor Avila Federal Officers and Employees Protection Act.” (Bipartisan)

• Assisted with preparations and staffed the 2021 National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service in Washington, D.C. 

• Updated and performed maintenance on numerous trackers, indexes, and other administrative items. 

• Drafted and published weekly newsletter updates for the National Fraternal Order of Police. 

Director of Operations, Rep. Bryan Steil (WI-1) Jan. 2019 – May 2021 

• Managed all DC scheduling requests, coordinated with the requesting groups, the timing of meetings, and prepared for meetings. 

• Overlooked the front office, along with the maintenance and upkeep of the office. 

• Assisted the office as the coordinator for Interns, IT, emergencies, travel for the member and inventory among others. 

• Oversaw the member’s calendar and his day-to-day schedule. 

• Have coordinated over 300 official side meetings and over 400 political events.
