    Area Director Project Management Office at St. Luke's Health System in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Overview St. Luke's Health System in Boise, ID is seeking an Area Director PMO to join our St. Luke's Clinic medical group and service line team.

    Unit/Position Summary This position is responsible for facilitating the execution strategy, management, and implementation of the strategic portfolio of initiatives for the St.

    Luke's Clinic medical group and service lines. The Area Director PMO partners with the leadership team to drive the area's operational and clinical strategies.


    Duties/Responsibilities:
    + Oversees the Area's strategic portfolio of programs and projects in a coordinated way to obtain benefits and controls not available from managing them individually. Facilitates project requests, assesses strategic fit, and determines value to the organization. Balances portfolio, identifies problems, addresses issues and risks, and highlights best practices. + Establishes and oversees processes to identify and manage progress for the Area's strategic portfolio of programs and projects. + Designs overall portfolio strategy and identifies supporting projects to drive strategies within the Area. Defines project/program scope, objectives, and governance structure; identifies, quantifies, gains approval for and communicates scope, schedule and budget. Ensures all initiatives have project charters, measurement strategies, and team roles/accountabilities to drive results. Develops portfolio controls such as cross-project schedules, work plans, risk/action/issue/decision logs, and status reports. + Applies concepts, principles, theories and techniques to systematically approach performance improvement opportunities and change management. Establishes appropriate controls and systems to ensure sustainability of process and behavior changes over time. Partners with leadership to understand decisions made. + Identifies project staffing needs and assigns cross functional, multi-application staff to projects and portfolios. Builds skills and capabilities throughout the organization through training and coaching that results in measurable business outcomes. Mentors leaders to help develop them as change agents. + Partners with finance to implement a benefit/value realization process that provides visibility to the performance of portfolios and projects. Partners with program leads on co-deliverables and to identify areas for collaboration. Implements effective project/program communications and effective change management through project/program lifecycle. + Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


    Qualifications:
    + Education:

    Bachelors degree or experience in lieu of degree + Experience: 10 years relevant experience + Licenses/Certifications: None Why St.
