    Default job background
    Description

The Northwest Regional Re-Entry Center (NWRRC) is a private non-profit organization that has been open since 1964. We operate a 150 bed residential facility and provide services to justice-involved adults, in a residential setting. One of the programs in our center is the Aid and Assist / Community Restoration program. This program provides restoration services for defendants in criminal cases with mental health disorders who have been deemed by the court unfit to proceed in their defense. The purpose is to develop additional housing and services for restoration to provide a step down option for individuals who no longer require hospital level of care and as an alternate to initial placement for individuals needing competency restoration services. The population served under this program includes adults who have serious mental illness (SMI), and common psychiatric conditions may include schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, major depression and psychotic disorders not otherwise specified (NOS). Individuals may also have a high prevalence of co-occurring substance use disorders.
