Position Summary
- The Quality Reporting Specialist II will abstract clinical information for externally reported quality measures, review information with clinicians to correct inaccuracies, ensure submission to CMS and other entities within the required timeframe, conduct periodic audits to maintain integrity of the reporting program, and support the creation of quality reports as requested. In addition, the Quality Reporting Specialist II will serve as a resource for externally reported quality measures, assist with organizationwide planning to meet anticipated future CMS reporting requirements, liaison with quality reporting software vendors, and interpret trends in performance to help address organizationwide gaps in quality and safety.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Education**:Associate's degree or equivalent training required.
License/Certifications: N/A
Experience:At least five years of relevant healthcare experience required. Experience working with interprofessional teams in addressing organizationwide problems. - Knowledge of clinical quality measures, CMS reporting requirements, and clinical documentation practices preferredFamiliarity with performance improvement tools and concepts, e.g., plandostudyact, preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite or equivalent preferred
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative and team oriented
