    Description

    Overview: The Data Warehouse Administrator plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining modern data architecture solutions within Azure. This role involves collaboration with internal teams and contractors to support existing data warehouse and reporting environments, utilizing various Azure services such as Data Lake, SQL Data Warehouse, Synapse, SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI. The Data Warehouse Administrator is also responsible for ensuring efficient data loading and manipulation processes.

    Essential Position Functions:

    1. Develop and manage effective working relationships with other departments, groups, and personnel to coordinate and interface work.
    2. Establish and enforce data warehousing standards to meet requirements and business needs.
    3. Evaluate current back-end processes, and enhance data design and information flow.
    4. Utilize Azure stack modules like Data Factories, Data Lake, SQL DW, and Synapse to support ongoing data warehouse and reporting needs.
    5. Assist in architecting the Azure Data Vault using Data Vault 2.0 best practices.
    6. Interpret business requirements and provide input from a data perspective.
    7. Build simple to complex pipelines and dataflows.
    8. Develop reliable, scalable distributed systems for data analytics and reporting.
    9. Coach, guide, and mentor team members on Azure development best practices.
    10. Implement and maintain security and authorization framework modules.
    11. Integrate and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS) methodology.
    12. Conduct root cause analysis and resolve performance and production problems and data issues.
    13. Provide ongoing maintenance and support for Azure data environments.
    14. Document technical designs, architecture, workflow, data flow, and processes.
    15. Validate accuracy and consistency of data in the database and test developed routines.
    16. Meet professional obligations by adhering to efficient work habits, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings effectively, and demonstrating respect for others.
    17. All work responsibilities are subject to performance goals and/or targets.
    18. Provide a minimum of weekly status report updates for current projects.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
