Description
MT Constructors is a local, family-owned residential shell company that has been in business for more than 15 years.

MT provides both labor and materials for new home builders, both production and custom homes for concrete, masonry and frame work.

Starts coordinator is responsible for developing objectives, policies, and processes regarding all new home start functions in the company. This position will directly report to the Purchasing Director.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Create all purchase orders for materials on residential SF new homes
  • Start all jobs schedule in Buildertrend software
  • Communicate with suppliers to maintain scheduled delivery dates
  • Schedule all preconstruction meetings with field staff, purchasing and client
  • Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, price and delivery capabilities
  • Oversee EPO's to maintain profit and overheads
  • Maintain supply and inventory in shop warehouse
  • Confirm purchase orders have been received on all new starts and pricing is accurate with the proposal sent by estimation team
  • Monitor left over and/or short materials on jobs and work with estimating to correct bidding issues
  • Arrange for reuse of excess material
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager
  • Develops and installs administrative and office procedures and practices and studies work flow, sequence of operations and office arrangement to determine expediency of installing new or improved office machines or procedures
  • Coordinate with purchasing manager, field staff, vendors and account departments

Required Education/Experience:


  • 2+ year of purchasing agent or coordinator in residential construction
    required
  • Solid Knowledge of residential building plans and materials from foundation to frame
  • Microsoft Outlook and & excel Experience preferred
  • Quick books experience preferred
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle a multitude of projects at once
  • Buildertrend experience desired
Previous experience with a home builder is a plus


Skills and Abilities:


  • Customer service oriented with professional and courteous attitude
  • Data entry, accounts payable/receivable experience desired
  • Good knowledge of word processing, estimating and spreadsheet software packages
  • Vendor Management

PAY BASED ON EXPEREINCE

Pay:
From $20.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
