    • Preferred Skills:
    • Minimum 2 years' experience with MS Azure SQL Server and Azure Data warehouse environment
    • Minimum 2 years' experience with building, deploying, troubleshooting Data Extraction, and loading jobs using Azure data factory
    • Minimum 5 years' experience with Agile methodology and Scrum Framework
    • Minimum 2 years' DevOps experience and CI/CD methodology
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in authoring and troubleshooting SQL Queries, Stored Procedures and ETL Processes
    • Proficiency in Python or Powershell

    Position General Summary:

    The Data Warehouse Administrator participates in the design, implementation, and ongoing modification of a modern architecture solution in Azure. The Data Warehouse Administrator works with internal team members and contractors

    to develop new and support existing data warehouse and data reporting environments—including Azure Data Lake SQL Data Warehouse, Synapse, SSRS, SSAS and Power BI. The Data Warehouse Administrator works alongside other Data Services team members using DevOps to provide and support continuous delivery and implementation development lifecycle. The Data Warehouse Administrator is responsible for data loading and manipulation to ensure that the data sources are efficiently and effectively loaded into the data warehouse.

    Essential Position Functions:


    • Establish and enforce data warehousing standards to meet requirements and business needs.


    • Evaluate our current back-end processes. Create and improve the underlying data design and flow of information.


    • Utilize Azure modules such as Data Factories, Data Lake, SQL DW and Synapse in support of ongoing data warehouse and reporting needs.


    • Assist in the overall architecture of the Azure Data Vault utilizing Data Vault 2.0 best practices.


    • Interpret business requirements and actively provide input from data perspective.


    • Build simple to complex pipelines and dataflows.


    • Build reliable, scalable distributed systems for data analytics and reporting.


    • Coach, guide, and mentor team members on Azure development best practices.


    • Implement and maintain security and authorization framework modules.


    • Integrate and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS) methodology.


    • Conduct root cause analysis and resolve performance and production problems and data issues.


    • Provide ongoing maintenance and support of Azure data environment.


    • Document technical designs and architecture, workflow, dataflow and processes.


    • Validate accuracy and consistency of the data in the database and test the developed routines.


    • Provide a minimum of weekly status report updates for current projects.
