    Description

    Looking for a Skilled IT Manager with P&C Insurance IT Background

    The ideal candidate will lead a team handling a major project focused on implementing a new Legal Tracker system for Claims Operations and Legal departments. The project involves heavy API integrations and data exchange among various systems. As the IT Manager, you will manage a diverse team comprising Vendor and IT development teams. Strong management, strategic thinking, and communication skills are essential to drive this initiative to success. This visible role requires hands-on leadership and exceptional service delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with Vendor partner and workstream leads to create a consolidated project plan
    • Ensure alignment of business roadmap with project plan, monitoring and resolving blockers
    • Manage scope, timeline, and progress, ensuring workstreams are informed and on track
    • Establish KPIs to monitor software quality and delivery performance
    • Plan, schedule, and communicate release plans for new capabilities
    • Actively manage issues, risks, and dependencies to meet objectives
    • Provide vision and direction throughout product lifecycle

    Vendor Relationship

    • Work with 3rd Party Solution Providers and Vendors to meet delivery objectives
    • Review technical specifications and maintain relationships for continuous improvement
    • Provide status reports, communicate with key stakeholders
    • Participate in agile/scrum activities for internal development
    • Assist Scrum Master with mitigating impediments

    Leadership & Communication

    • Communicate effectively with all levels, internally and externally
    • Provide oversight for a team focused on client satisfaction
    • Instill an inclusive team culture and empower team members
    • Coordinate with IT peers to manage project-level impact points

    Skills/Experience Required:

    • BS/BA degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field preferred
    • 5+ years experience as a Technology / Delivery Project Manager
    • Demonstrated knowledge of COTS/Package Product development
    • Experience with data-driven projects, API integrations, Data Warehouse
    • Knowledge of development software, frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
    • Excellent relationship management, communication, and leadership skills
    • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
    • Competency in product owner tools and office programs
    • Good to have experience with Mitratech - TeamConnect
