The Americas Channel Sales Team exists to drive growth in the indirect channel route to market and ultimately help grow Itron's share and presence in developing markets and territories where Itron does not have a presence in North, South, and Latin America or where under represented or under penetrated in the geography.
As the Account Manager for the Latin America (LAM) Sales Channel, you will play a critical role in driving the success of the overall sales growth for Latin America for all Itron business lines sold into the region.
Reporting to the Americas AVP of Sales, your key responsibilities include management of LAM indirect sales channel partners, sales planning for the sustainable growth of the indirect channel across LAM, supporting sales activities in the region, and serving as the direct interface responsible for coordinating cross functional engagement across core functional teams in Marketing, Sales, Product Business Units, Delivery, IT, Legal and Procurement.
Responsible for sales and production forecasting
Responsible for all sales in the region according to a quota set by the partner agreements
Support internal Itron sales process activities with sales operations
Assist in the preparation of data for staff meetings/presentations including collation of market and product data based upon history and experience
Responsible for operational assistance if needed after tender award
Ensure all new agreements/sales are set up and executed correctly
Requirements
Fluent in Spanish
Professional experience in Sales/Channel Partnering in a matrix and international company that sells complex solutions including Hardware, Software and Services
Strong leadership skills with the ability to make the right decisions that represent Itron in the LAM region
Strong communication and executive presentation skills
An effective team player and cross-functional contributor with strong drive for results
Ability to lead cross functional teams and drive sales coordination needed to achieve target results
Ability to ramp effectively and take ownership during ambiguous and time sensitive situations
Recognize the need and determine travel plans to collaborate with partners. Prepare to travel up to 30% to LAM if needed
Preferred Requirements
Experience in utility system sales
Fluent in Portuguese
Education:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the US with easy access to travel to Latin America.
