The Role:
ETC is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Advertising Sales Executive to join the HR Portfolio team. This individual will be responsible for building client relationships with Human Resources Executive media clients and strategic partners.
The Advertising Sales Executive will contribute to corporate and portfolio goals by successfully managing a book of existing business while cultivating new relationships and closing new clients to drive revenue growth.
This role requires excellent communication and organization skills and a passion for delivering products that deliver exceptional customer value.The ideal candidate will have a professional background in print and digital media sales, particularly in cold prospecting and relationship building.
We need people who thrive in an evolving media and digital landscape and approach their role with initiative and enthusiasm.
This is a remote role, and work from a home-based office is permitted up to 5-days a week.Here's what you'll be doing:
Reporting to the Associate Publisher, below is a list of the role's core responsibilities and essential functions.
Prospecting and Relationship Building
As an individual contributor, drive sales initiatives to meet and exceed established revenue targets and account renewals.
Proactively cold-call and engage prospects and effectively communicate the benefits of ETC's media products and solutions.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure maximum engagement and satisfaction.
Regularly communicate with key contacts by phone and email to understand their business needs and objectives, tailoring offerings accordingly.
As needed, conduct in-person visits/presentations with clients and prospects to foster relationships and close deals.
Reporting and Data Management
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all client interactions and sales activities using
Research future opportunities and maintain a comprehensive list of potential clients as needed, leveraging market insights and industry trends.
Prepare sales reports detailing sales volume, pacing, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion to Associate Publisher on a regular basis.
Analyze and review all ad units to maintain rate integrity and increase revenue.Strategy, Communication, and Collaboration
Collaborate with the Associate Publisher, content team, and marketing team to understand future media plans and objectives.
Stay abreast of market developments and identify new growth opportunities for sales within the industry.
Represent the company at various industry events and conferences to promote our offerings and expand our network.
Analyze competing media products to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for differentiation.
What we're looking for:
5+ years of proven experience in digital media/advertising sales, with a focus on consultative sales, enterprise sales, cold prospecting and relationship building.
Goal oriented mentality with a high energy approach to client interactions
Interest in the latest media advertising methodologies and solutions
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong ability to deliver persuasive sales presentations.
Demonstrated ability to sell to decision-makers and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome challenges.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Experience using Salesforce is preferred but not required.
Willingness to travel to industry tradeshows, conferences, and networking events.
Physical demands of the job include:
Performing work in an indoor office environment. Remote work is permitted.
Operating standard office equipment such as computers, printers, keyboards, monitors, phones, and other telecommunications or internet-enabled communications devices
Possessing short-distance visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and/or extensive reading.
Occasionally lifting and carrying small parcels, packages and other items or walk short distances.10% travel, as required.
Position Type and Expected Work Hours
This is a regular, full-time position. Work is typically conducted Monday – Friday, during ETC's core business hours, between 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM.
