    Join Ameresco as a Remote Service Specialist based in Worthington, OH

    The Remote Service Specialist role revolves around remotely handling service activities related to customers' BAS needs. Working closely with the Service Coordinator, responsibilities include managing and diagnosing technical support requests for service agreement customers and warranty calls. This position requires strong analytical skills to identify and communicate building control system issues effectively, being a key point of contact for clients, technicians, and internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of Ameresco's service systems.

    Responsibilities:

    • Managing clients' requests, providing feedback, and offering solutions.
    • Remote troubleshooting to reduce site visits.
    • Performing remote access to diagnose issues on client sites.
    • Tracking work order statuses.
    • Providing field backup support when necessary.
    • Training and mentoring new field personnel on different systems.
    • Traveling less than 10% of the time.
    • Being highly organized and adept at handling multiple customer requests.
    • Possessing exceptional communication skills and comfortably managing customer expectations.
    • Understanding health, safety, and security standards in building environments.
    • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office Suite, and software navigation.
    • Applying problem-solving and critical thinking skills to overcome challenges independently.
    • Hands-on experience with BAS controls.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2 years of senior-level technical controls experience.
    • 2-year technical degree or certification.

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Customer-facing experience.
    • Experience with Niagara, Bacnet, LON.
    • Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting experience.
