    Organizational Description:


    Inneract Project (IP) is a nonprofit organization, founded in 2004, working to empower the next generation of Black, Latinx, and underrepresented designers of color.

    IP provides free design classes and initiatives that introduce students to the design field in hopes of channeling their creativity into exciting new career paths.

    Inneract Project is committed to reshaping the design and tech industries so that more Black, Latinx, and underrepresented folks of color are present, empowered, and supported.

    OVERVIEWThis role is a hybrid unpaid volunteer position dedicated to contributing to the visual & oral communication of Inneracts vision and mission.

    The focus is on reshaping the design and tech industries to ensure greater representation, empowerment, and support for Black, Latinx, and underrepresented individuals.

    Collaborating with our Programs Team, you will actively promote IP programs, events, and resources within the community.

    RESPONSIBILITIESShare compelling details about IPs programs/events, including Meet and Greet, Summer Program, Classroom Talks, CAHs, and other opportunitiesCollaborate with IP staff member(s) to encourage community sign-ups for IPs newsletter and followership on social media platformsUphold IPs mission and community values in every interaction.

    Provide information on IP Programs / Events and guide individuals on where/how to sign up for participationDemonstrate the ability to address frequently asked questions (FAQs) from community members about IPQUALIFICATIONS Demonstrates experience in customer service, marketing, and/ or salesExperience in a part-time role (contractor and/or volunteer)Demonstrates commitment to the missionExperience working in underrepresented communities and/ or non-profit organizationsAbility to multi-task and possess interpersonal skillsBilingual is a plus, but not requiredWillingness to travel within the Bay AreaCOMMITMENT/TERMThis position requires a minimum 7-month commitment for an average of 2-4 hours per week and is categorized as a hybrid role.
