- Connects with different outreach activities for the Economic Development events and the ETED outreach project to ensure the retention of the success of the department outreach activities.
- Assists in identifying, developing, and maintaining workforce development, small businesses, and local community-based organizations partnerships.
- Conducts and assists with department and agency events, and organizes and coordinates with agency staff for event planning and operating.
- Assists in developing program marketing materials, including brochures and other methods to advertise program services.
- Conducts outreach activities, including general outreach and face-to-face engagement, to the targeted population to increase ETED programs and services awareness.
- Assists the Director of ETED, represents ETED on different workforce and economic program events, as well as participates in funder connection meetings and events.
- Develops and translates bilingual training materials and simulation tools. Maintains and ensures updates of bilingual training materials.
- Provides support in compiling and analyzing programs' surveys to assess and capture problem areas. Follows up on action items from survey critiques to ensure corrective action is taken.
- Prepares reports as required by funding sources.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in human services, business administration, marketing, social work, or a related field, may be substituted with relevant experience.
- Experience in providing training, health, social or aging services to diverse communities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Must be self-motivated, organized and able to multitask under minimal supervision.
- Proficient in MS Office and the Internet.
- Must be bilingual and bi-literate in English and Cantonese. Being bilingual in Toishanese and/or Mandarin is a plus.
- Must be available to work weekends and evenings as needed.
- Must acquire CPR/ First Aid certificates and become a certified First Aid/ CPR instructor within 1 month of employment and maintain current certificates thereafter. A Certified First Aid/CPR instructor is strongly preferred.
- Must have and maintain a valid CA driver license, satisfactory driving record, and auto insurance coverage as specified in Self-Help's policy.
