Yu-Chun (Eugene) Liu

Eugene Liu is an accomplished creative artist and designer with a BFA degree in Industrial Design and a focus on Transportation Design. Since 2012, he has applied his talents in various creative fields, including product design, automotive design, and digital modeling. With extensive experience using Alias, Eugene has a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating innovative designs.

As an Industrial Designer with a Transportation Design emphasis, Eugene Liu has been working as a creative artist and designer across various industries since 2012. He has expertise in digital modeling with Alias and has developed a versatile portfolio of designs showcasing his proficiency in product development, graphic design, and 3D modeling. Through his creativity and attention to detail, Eugene has established himself as a valuable team member and continues to seek new opportunities to grow and expand his skillset.

Experience 

Digital Surface Modeler, Volvo Group (2022 – 2023) 
- Created Class A surfacing and SUB D modeling for both Volvo Truck and Mack Truck designers. 
- Supported designers in developing and refining their designs. 

Collaboration Project with Stellantis (Sep 2020 – Dec 2020) 
Automotive Designer and Digital Modeler, Intermezzo Team Lead - Led a team to present a reimagining of futuristic transportation. - Designed the vehicle interior and modeled both exterior and interior from 2D to 3D using Alias. - Project sponsored by Stellantis and Academy of Art University. 

Collaboration Project with Audi AG (Feb 2020 – May 2020) 
Automotive Designer and Digital Alias Modeler, Elysium Team Member 
- Communicated design with the designer via Gravity Sketch and transferred the idea into detailed A-Class Alias models. - Project sponsored by Audi AG and Academy of Art University. 

Freelance Graphic Designer (2012 – 2020) 
- Worked on several branding projects for stores, local studios, and companies based in Asia. 
- Designed logos, websites, and other printed materials. 

Art Director, SepSun Handmade (Taiwan) (Feb 2014 – Dec 2015)
- Created brand identity, including logo, business cards, and other printed materials. 
- Built and maintained the brand's official website.
- Helped create partnerships with local stores to extend the selling market. 
- Created collaborative opportunities for young graphic designers.

Eugene Liu holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design with a Transportation Design emphasis from the Academy of Art University. During his studies, he participated in two corporate-sponsored collaboration projects with Stellantis and Audi AG, where he showcased his skills as an Automotive Designer and Digital Modeler. Using software such as Alias, Gravity Sketch, and Twinmotion, he created detailed 2D and 3D models for vehicle interiors and exteriors. The Academy of Art University's curriculum provided him with practical, hands-on training and exposure to experienced professionals in the design industry. Eugene is skilled in digital modeling with Autodesk Alias, as well as sketching, rendering, and concept ideation.
