    Summary About the Position:

    Position is located at US Army Cadet Command Headquarters, RMID, Fort Knox, KY Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for the receipt, review and disposition of applications for Army ROTC Scholarships.

    Assists applicants with the World Wide WEB (WWW) scholarship application to ensure receipt of updated information.

    Serve as final reviewer of personnel transactions required in processing, eligibility determination, interpretation of ruling and regulations (which are developed to ensure cadets meet the requirements for entrance into the military service).

    Receive and respond to telephonic, written, electronic mail and walk-in customer requests for information and status of their application.

    To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work of this job.

    Specialized experience is defined as reviewing applications to determine eligibility, completing forms and maintaining the military record jackets and maintaining an automated Human Resource system to review applicant material.

    OR have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes work that involves 1) applying a standard body of military personnel duties, regulations, procedures and operations concerning the preparation of enrollment and contract documents to maintain and update military record jackets for personnel, and to perform military functions in support of unit military cadre. 2) Organization and functions of the Detachment sufficient to provide regulatory guidance and program eligibility information.

    Grade Requirement:

    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).

    Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

    For this position you may qualify if your education meets the definition below: 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement (Transcripts required)


    FOREIGN EDUCATION:

    If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S.

    education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.

    Defense National Relocation Program will not be authorized. Employee is required to attend the Acculturation C3PO third week from Entrance on Duty at Fort Knox.
