    Description
    Duties * Serve as a staff HR advisor and action officer for personnel related functions.

    * Manage organization's civilian awards program * Provide position management and classification advice to supervisors/ managers and employees of the organization.

    * Provide technical assistance to managers and supervisors to develop employee training and Individual Developmental Plans (IDP).

    Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

    * This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time. * Employment is subject to a one-year probationary period.

    * This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

    Specialized experience is defined as:

    preparing documents using automated systems and/or databases, applying HR policies to various civilian program operations to provide recommendations; and research personnel issues to assist with civilian HR advisory.

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-07).

    GS-11: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in the job.


    Specialized experience is defined as:

    Reviewing civilian personnel programs to improve operational efficiency to provide recommendations; Manage HR programs such as civilian and incentive pay awards for the organization; and assist with training employees on request for personnel actions, position management, classification, recruitment and placement, and performance management.

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-09).

    Grade Requirement:

    GS-09 Level- Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B.
