    Description
    Duties * Independently resolves issues/problems requiring consideration of the total military personnel management system.

    * Apply a comprehensive knowledge of Senior Reserve Officers Training Corps (SROTC) program to provide guidance to the command staff regarding the management of Cadets.

    * Principal point of contact for subordinate SROTC battalions, oversees the Brigade Enrollment and Eligibility / Retention program. * Assist managers on highly complex ROTC cadet problems. * Responsible for the final review and processing of all Cadet actions.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

    * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.

    * This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 15% of the time.

    * Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

    Specialized experience is defined as:

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

    You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

    Grade Requirement:

    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

    For this position you may qualify if your education meets the definition below:

    Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which is directly related to the position being filled.
